VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

   PTSO loves our volunteers and we need YOU! Your time and talent is vital to the success of the PTSO! Come join us and see how much fun you can have while doing something wonderful for your child(ren) and school!

 The PTSO provides assistance and volunteers for various student, staff, and parent programs, the Dawg Store, Staff Appreciation, Project Graduation, Senior Scholarships and other McKinney North groups in need

2023-24 Volunteer Positions Needed!
We are in need of a few more volunteers to provide fresh ideas and to keep PTSO dynamic and successful. Please contact the PTSO at mnhsptso@gmail.com if you are interested in taking any of these positions:

President - Engage volunteers, communicate with school administrators and teachers. Work with the membership to find ways to improve North!

Treasurer - Keep the books and accounts up to date! Keep budget up to date and ensure expenses and donations are kept in line with the budget. 

Dawg Store: This person is responsible for recruiting volunteers, creating a schedule and working to stock and organize the store that is open to students every day from 10:15- 12:45 p.m.!

Hospitality/Staff Appreciation Chair: This person is responsible for coordinating a couple staff lunches and special events throughout the year, including an August lunch, Holiday lunch, and end of school year lunch. Other special events include a simple meal prior to Open House and McKinney North Showcase nights. 

PR/Website: Is technology your talent?! We can use your expertise!
To be a volunteer, you must be cleared by the school district.

STUDENTS CAN EARN COMMUNITY SERVICE AND GREEN CORD HOURS

Students who volunteer for PTSO events or help with various PTSO administrative needs can earn hours toward their Green Cord. Student members are also eligible to apply for the PTSO Scholarship when they are a senior!
